The “Must-Get” Travel Packing Check-list!

Nothing is more disturbing than having started your much-desired holidays at the place you have been dreaming of for months and... finding out that you’ve forgotten home all sorts of things you absolutely need to have a good time.

So, we thought we could do something to save you from such a swizz.  Below, you will discover the ultimate travel packing check-list!

• The “Can’t Travel Without” Things

There are obviously some things that you simply have to take with you in order to travel.  The best thing to do is put them all in a purse or small bag and wear it around your shoulder to avoid forgetting it somewhere. These things include:

Your tickets.

• Your ID or passport.
• Your driving license.
• Your wallet.
• Your mobile phone.

You can obviously add things to this list, but, whatever the case, make sure you have those five items with you before closing the door behind you.

• Something with... Long Sleeves

It is probably the last thing you will think of for your summer break - but it is absolutely necessary!  No matter how hot it gets during the day, don’t forget that temperatures tend to drop significantly during the night, especially in islands or mountain destinations, and a cool breeze will certainly make you seek the comfort of a light jacket or a long-sleeve blouse.  So, a long-sleeve garment, like a shirt or something similar, is a “must” for your travel packing.

• Solar Battery Charger

Not much to explain here... Just picture yourselves having discovered a lovely, idyllic beach, and as you see the sun setting and wish to take the perfect selfie, you find out that your mobile has run out of juice.   

A solar battery charger, however, can be useful in other cases too, far graver.  Especially when you visit a place you don’t know well, having always with you your mobile phone is extremely important.   

• Waterproof Case for your Mobile

And since we talk about mobiles, don’t forget to take with you a waterproof case too; it will keep your phone safe even if you forget yourself and take a dive with it!

• Reusable Water Bootle

Regardless of your dietary habits, one thing is for sure:   you will have to drink a lot of water during your holidays! And instead of buying bottled water over and over again, or troubling yourself with seeking drinkable water in isolated or solitary beaches, it’s far better to have with you a reusable bottle.  Trust us, it will prove very handy!   

• First Aid Kit

You don’t have to take a whole box with you... You can find a small first aid kit that will take little space inside your bag or suitcase. From an anti-bite gel to a simple gauze or sticking-plasters, everything inside a first aid kit can prove extremely helpful.

• Enough Sets of Underwear

One of the most common mistakes during travel packing is not getting enough sets of underwear.   And, needless to say, having laundry chores during your summer break is not exactly the best thing!

So, consider carefully the length of your stay and then take a couple of sets more of what you think you will actually need.

• Versatile Shoes

Flip-flops are fine, but you will need something that is comfortable and can easily be matched with different looks and can be worn on various occasions! They will save you plenty of space in your travel bag, without betraying your style and appearance.

• The Necessary Cosmetics

It’s not just that you won’t need most of your cosmetics; if you take them all with you there is a chance they get damaged or decay.  So, be smart and take with you just what is absolutely necessary - and those in mini packs, if possible. A nice face and body moisturising cream, your perfume, a couple of your favourite lipstick shades, a gloss, a bronzer - and you are ready. Also, make sure you pick cosmetics that combine features and uses, like a BB cream.
